Peter Dinklage Will Voice Olympics Opening Ceremony Tease

In two days, the Sochi 2014 games will begin with the official Winter Olympics opening ceremony! And one of the top stars of HBO’s Game of Thrones will be a crucial part of the event.

Peter Dinklage, who won an Emmy for his role as Tyrion Lannister on the HBO show, will voice the opening tease for the montage that will kick off NBC’s coverage of the opening ceremony this Friday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 PM ET.

Of course, NBC’s primetime Olympics coverage actually starts the night before, on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 8:00 PM ET, but the opening festivities are meant to inaugurate the official start of the Winter Games. The action will start at around 1:00 AM ET on NBCOlympics.com, which will provide a live-stream of the Olympics events, including gold medalist Shaun White in the men’s qualification round of snowboard slopestyle, an event making its Olympic debut in Sochi. This will be followed by the women’s qualification at 5:00 AM ET, the team figure skating event with the men’s short program at 10:30 AM ET, and the pairs competing at 12:10 PM ET.

It’s Olympics fever! And there’s no inoculation against awesome!
