Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas join ‘Expendables 3′

Now that Bruce Willis has departed the franchise after a falling out with Sylvester Stallone — reportedly over Willis’s demand for $4 million for four days of work — we’re getting some fresh blood for the next installment of The Expendables.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Stallone, in addition to adding Harrison Ford, has cast Mel Gibson as the villain in the action sequel. Also joining the cast is Antonio Banderas, whom Stallone called “a consummate actor and a gentleman” in a statement confirming the casting news.
