The Originals technically had it’s season premiere pilot during this past season of The Vampire Diaries, by way of a back-door pilot. However, since the new spin-off series was officially picked up for next season by the CW, they have now decided to give The Originals an independent premiere of it’s own to be shot this Summer. What will fans see in this new premiere? Chronologically, the new “Originals” premiere will follow the backdoor pilot. That episode — and everything that happened in it — will still exist in the show’s universe. The purpose of the new premiere is instead to move the story forward and to introduce the characters and concepts to new viewers who may not have watched “The Vampire Diaries” in the past. There will also be a new character, Davina. Played by Danielle Campbell, this character is a witch in New Orleans who gets tied up in Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) return to town. Yes, Motive, the number one Vancouver-based crime procedural, or whydunnit as it has become known, reveals both the killer and the victim right from the outset. All in all, it’s a decent show with an interesting premise and some great one-liners. We’ve got some new images from the May 27 episode of Revolution to share. “Children of Men” airing Monday May 27 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) on NBC, will see Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) going up against Monroe (David Lyons) in an encounter teased as “a battle with more than wits.” Meanwhile, Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos), Nora (Daniella Alonso) and Aaron (Zak Orth) get inside the Tower but Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) and son Jason (JD Pardo) get shut out. Elsewhere Miles and Monroe face off once again– this time even more lethally.

Jack Bauer is back! Following on from those tentative details last week that FOX planned to bring back 24 in a limited run following the cancellation of Touch, comes a full press release from the Network today confirming the news. 24: Live Another Day, which sounds like it could double as a Bond title, will air this summer. The ‘event series’ will reunite showrunner Howard Gordon with 24 star Kiefer Sutherland in a new story consisting of 12 episodes which represent 24 hours. CTV has announced on May 8 that cop-series “Motive” has been renewed for season 2. The #1 new Canadian series of the year, CTV has ordered an additional 13 episodes for the series’ second season from Vancouver-based Foundation Features and Lark Productions. Production is set to begin this summer. The announcement comes with just one episode remaining before “Motive’s” first-season finale next Thursday, May 16 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV Mobile. After launching following the Super Bowl, and later moving to the prestigious Thursday at 10 p.m. timeslot, “Motive” is this season’s most-watched Canadian scripted series among all key selling demos. In January, it was announced that “Motive” had been picked up by ABC for American broadcast. As announced earlier this week, CTV will schedule encore presentations of “Motive” in simulcast with ABC, beginning Monday, May 20 at 10 p.m. ET/PT before moving to its new Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot May 23.
